a cozy winter dinner

Last night we had a cozy little winter dinner. And, like any amazing cuisine prepared in our kitchen, I was not responsible for the deliciousness.

It was all this guy. And as far as I could tell as supervisor and head wine sipper, the hubs was an excellent sous-chef.

It must have been a real treat for the abandoned cooking utensils in our cabinet to get a night out with such a food genius. All I know is he had mushrooms, and rice, and some sweet potatoes and garlic and bacon and cilantro, some stirring, some simmering, some chopping and then... a taste explosion.

I know I've bragged about it before, but it's good to be friends with a food genius.
