The Santa Monica Pier buzzed with people. Tourists no doubt. Swarms of people traveling from hotter places, flatter places, dryer places, far less buzz-worthy places. All there to find a little joy.
I don't personally ride roller coasters, I'm just not that kind of girl. I would rather keep my food down, thank you very much.
But a roller coaster with an ocean view? That does seem like the very definition of joy... doesn't it?
San Mo is the best! Next time you're here, if you want a locals-only beach, head to playa del rey :) I live so close to there, it's great!
